23-year-old accused of ringing 999 to ask for cannabis grinder back
A Douglas man's appeared in court over an allegation he repeatedly called 999 to ask for a cannabis grinder to be returned.
Twenty-three-year-old Aaron John Lilley, of Circular Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded not guilty to making annoying or nuisance calls on 23 April – the court heard police were called to Empress Drive shortly before 5pm.
Officers are said to have found Mr Lilley asleep in a garden with a cannabis joint and a cannabis grinder.
Police seized both and took Mr Lilley home because he was drunk.
But an hour later he's alleged to have dialled 999 four times asking for his grinder to be returned.
He was bailed and is next due to appear in court on 28 June for a pre-trial review.
