Taken to hospital by helicopter
A trials biker had to be airlifted to hospital after an incident in Kirk Michael last night.
The male rider was in the Baltic Road area when he lost control on what's described as an 'extremely steep' hillside.
Coastguards and paramedics, assisted by his friends, winched the casualty around 200 metres back up and into a waiting TT airmed helicopter.
He is in Noble's Hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
Off-road bikers have been warned to take note of warning signs and not to stray from designated tracks.
