She says she remains committed to serving the Diocese
The Bishop of Sodor and Man says she isn't disheartened or perturbed ahead of a vote into the future of the role in the Island's parliament.
This week, the Legislative Council completed the clauses stage of the Isle of Man Constitution Bill 2023, which, if approved, would remove the Bishop's ability to vote in Tynwald and LegCo.

In a letter, Tricia Hillas describes the decision as a 'significant development' in our Island’s life adding it touches deeply upon the heritage and identity of the Diocese.
She says throughout the Island’s history, the church has contributed to cultural, spiritual, and communal life - recalling how the translation of the Manx Bible helped preserve the Manx language.
Tricia adds that whatever may come of discussions about the constitutional place of the Bishop, the mission of the church remains unchanged.
She says she remains committed to serving the Diocese and walking the path in faith and trust.
