Merseyside Police releases video
Merseyside Police is warning TT fans travelling to the Island to secure their bikes and be aware of thieves.
It has put together a video for social media, which features TT absolute lap record holder Peter Hickman towards the end, to reinforce the message:
Don't let criminals ruin your trip to @ttracesofficial. Make sure you secure your bike with a strong lock, to something solid, if you are parking overnight. @iom_tt @iomsteampacket @iompolice @DatatagID pic.twitter.com/zWMkl4vNXA

Such a campaign was run for the first time last year, following a spike in thefts in 2017, when 29 bikes were stolen.
The number of machines taken fell to 17 last year.
