
A full public debate is needed on proposals to introduce university tuition fees in the Isle of Man.
That’s according to the group of MHKs which successfully lobbied for a Tynwald debate on the matter to be postponed.
Politicians Howard Quayle, Richard Ronan, Leonard Singer and Laurence Skelly made representations to the education and treasury ministers calling for it to be deferred until January – a request which has been granted.
Mr Quayle says it’s vital a full and frank debate takes place:
