
A team from TV Licensing will be in the Island later this month.
A colour licence costs £145.50 per year and it's thought five per cent of the population in the UK and Isle of Man who watch live television, evade paying for one.
Those caught can face fines of up to £1,000.
An information campaign is underway to advise Manx residents about the need for a TV licence - and ways to pay for them.
