There will be an emergency sitting of Tynwald tomorrow, at which members will be asked to approve the increase in the depositors' compensation scheme.
Treasury Minister Allan Bell announced yesterday plans to increase the guaranteed protection for deposits in Isle of Man banks from £15,000 to £50,000.
However, he needs the approval of Tynwald to proceed and the next scheduled sitting is not until two week's time, on October 21.
Tynwald will sit from10.30am tomorrow and there will be full coverage on Manx Radio's AM frequency, 1368.
