Lower number of seated spectators noticeable, says President
A drop off in numbers of those watching the Tynwald Day ceremony from the grandstands has prompted organisers to take action.
They have cut the length of the tiered seating available.
The trend of fewer people seated to watch has been noticeable over recent years, says President of Tynwald Laurence Skelly.
In view of that, this year it was decided to reduce the length of the specially erected stands:
