Close decision in court
Tynwald has narrowly rejected a motion calling on a select committee to be appointed to investigate the practical advantages and disadvantages of the Island accepting refugees from Syria.
It was moved by Garff MHK Daphne Caine.
After lengthy debate, the motion just failed to pass, with Keys voting 10 for and 11 against and Legislative Council 9 for and none against.
This month's sitting of the court has now finished.
