Tynwald has paid tribute to a former colleague Ray Kniveton.
Mr Kniveton passed away suddenly last Tuesday at the age of 78.
He spent four years as an MHK and a further seven as a member of the Legislative Council.
He was a member of Onchan Commissioners when he died, having attended a meeting just 24 hours earlier.
President of Tynwald Claire Christian told the court he was a warm-hearted personality who worked well with others and had a desire to give service to his community.
She said his business experience was of great value during his time in government, where he worked in a number of departments.
