Guidelines for how members of the media conduct themselves during Tynwald sittings are based on similar measures in the Scottish and Northern Ireland parliaments.
So says the Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson.
They form part of a code of conduct for journalists, due to go before Tynwald next week.
If approved, the proposals would also allow for television cameras to be introduced into the Manx parliament.
Mr Watterson says parliamentary etiquette is important.
