A member of the House of Keys says a motion she will bring to Tynwald today (Tuesday) is not an attempt to have the Manx Electricity Authority shops closed down.
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft is asking government ministers to assess the future of the MEA retail outlets, which make significant losses.
She says, in an ideal world, they would be sold as a going concern:

'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
