Legislation designed to develop export market
Tynwald will be asked to approve a licensing system for growing cannabis on the Isle of Man this week.
The plant won't be made available for medicinal use here though, with government set on developing an export market.
Licences are to be granted by Gambling Supervision Commission, which will ensure those in the market follow rules around quality and security.

Local farmer Bob Comish, who wants to cultivate hemp, is concerned there's no licence available for growing the male plant outdoors.
He also wants to see Manx citizens benefit from cannabis:
