Public urged to look after glens and rivers for flytipping incident
The Western Civic Amenity Site is appealing for those using the Island's rivers and glens to look after them, following an incident of fly tipping at the Raggatt.
Part of a sofa and 15 tyres were removed from the river over the weekend.
It's not known who is responsible for dumping the items, but the facility warns they would face prosecution if caught.
The amenity site says glens, rivers and beaches are for everyone to enjoy, and should be kept in a good condition.
