
The Island’s Victim Support Scheme is becoming the focus of attention for other jurisdictions considering setting up similar organisations.
Based in Albert Street, across the road from Douglas Courthouse, the programme helps people who have been the victims of crime, as well as those appearing as witnesses in court cases.
Being based in an island presents particular problems and difficulties, and officials from the Channel Islands have been visiting to find out how we manage.
