Senior race day bank holiday cancellation up for discussion
The decision to cancel the senior race day bank holiday, and how changes to the UK quarantine measures will affect Manx residents being repatriated.
Those are among the topics due to be discussed at a virtual extraordinary sitting of Tynwald today.
There are three urgent questions tabled for today's sitting, all of which come from member for Arbory, Castletown and Malew Jason Moorhouse.
He's asking when the Council of Ministers made the decision to cancel the senior race day bank holiday, which has now been moved to the 28 August.
An urgent motion on this is also due to be brought forward, from Douglas East member Clare Barber.
She wants Tynwald to support the reinstatement of the TT Senior Race Day bank holiday, and requests that the Bank Holidays (Amendment) Order 2020 be revoked.
The virtual sitting will be broadcast on Manx Radio's AM frequency 1368 and online from 2.30pm.
