No legal experience needed for unpaid position
Volunteers are being sought to serve as magistrates in the Island's courts.
Those selected for the unpaid position won't necessarily have any formal qualifications or come from a legal background, as full training is provided.
Magistrates typically sit as a bench of three, and cover a wide range of legal matters.
Those interested in the role would be required to sit in court for around two days per month, and must have lived on the Island for at least five years.
More details can be obtained by emailing zoe.cannell@gov.im or calling 685471.
The closing date for applications is 19 June.
