
The DHSS says activity at Noble's Hospital is on the increase, despite a possible impression to the contrary.
The Minister, Eddie Teare, believes longer waiting lists, in some areas, may make people think fewer patients are receiving treatment.
However, the most recent monthly review shows that, compared with the same period last year, theatre procedures were up by 9%, and day cases by 12%.
Mr Teare (pictured) recognises there have been delays in two specific areas, but says these are being addressed, partly by stopping the lists building up in the first place:
