Met Office issues extended weather warnings
Ronaldsway Met Office has issued updated weather warnings.
There is an amber warning for coastal overtopping in place until 4pm tomorrow which is likely to affect promenades in Douglas, Ramsey Laxey, Rushen and Castletown at times of high water around 1am and 1pm.
Douglas Promenade is to close from 11pm to 3am tonight and again tomorrow from 11am to 3pm.
Meanwhile a yellow warning is in place for lying snow across the island until midday tomorrow.
Snow is expected to thaw this evening, but icy patches may remain into the morning.
An update on this evening's Ben-My-Chree sailing to Heysham is due by 5.30pm.
An amber warning means: ’Be Prepared’ - Risk of severe weather impacting on work, schools & travel. Some disruption & damage in places. Risk of injury.
A yellow warning means: ‘Be Aware’ - Risk of bad weather affecting activities. Some travel delays, risk of minor damage, localised or temporary disruption.
