Isle of Man residents are being asked for their views on the Manx government's 'open skies' policy.
Aer Arran, which operates routes to Dublin and London City from Ronaldsway, is currently experiencing financial difficulties, which has again turned attention to instability in the aviation industry.
Six airlines have dropped services from Ronaldsway in the past four years and some people believe the 'open skies' approach can lead to too much competition and the failure of operators.
Brendan O'Friel, who is chairman of the Island's travel watchdog TravelWatch, is keeping his fingers crossed for Aer Arran, but believes the issue needs to be addressed:
