Event is aims to make statement against the global littering problem
This Saturday (16 September) is World Cleanup Day and to mark the event, PlasticBusters and Beach Buddies are inviting residents to be part of a grand clean-up activity.
The founder of Beach Buddies says littering continues to plague our environment, threatening wildlife and polluting our waters and hence by joining in, people will show the importance of sustainability and responsible waste disposal.
Bill Dale added the event is not just about cleaning the island but also making a statement against the global littering problem:
The event is from 10am and those interested can meet at Groves Road in Douglas.
