Group has small but loyal following
A little-known group bidding to buy the derelict Castle Mona building on Douglas seafront has revealed the scale of its ambition.
The King of Morceae Foundation claims to be a global entity, and has gathered a small but loyal following in the Island in recent years.
Its members' interests span philosophy, cosmology, anthropology, environmental science, architecture and 'industrial innovation'.
The Foundation says it has international partners keen to invest in a major transformation of the former hotel, which is currently owned by the Sefton Group.
This week DEFA minister Geoffrey Boot confirmed a bid had been made on the complex, which contains several listed features.
A spokesman whose name in the Foundation is Refira (Oscar Kenny) outlined the plans:
