Former MHK for Castletown says there's no demand for the scheme in the colder months
A notice has been published asking residents in Castletown if they would like to see Market Square closed year round.
Currently, the commissioners have closed the square for the summer season, and it will reopen at the end of the month.
Former board member and Castletown MHK Tony Brown says the decision to close the square in winter is 'illogical' because there isn't the 'demand' for the space.

Castletown Commissioners have been offered the opportunity to comment.
If anyone wishes to formally make representation on the proposal then they should do so in writing to: Traffic Regulation Order Team, Sea Terminal, Douglas, IM1 2RF or by email to: HighwayRegulations.DOI@gov.im on or before Friday 18 October 2024.
