Project completed following feedback from passengers
A major project to upgrade facilities at Ronaldsway Airport has been completed.
The move is described by the Department of Infrastructure as a significant step forward in enhancing the passenger experience.
The work has included new carpeting and redecoration in the lounge area adjacent to gates 4 and 5, along with the installation of 190 new seats in the rear waiting area, and 92 in the basement holding lounge.
There's also been work to refurbish the airside catering facilities in a bid to deliver a more welcoming, functional and inclusive environment.
The seating upgrades were designed following feedback from passengers along with input from the Frequent Passenger Group and benchmarking against other regional airports.
Also taken into account were recommendations from the Accessibility Group.
Passengers are invited to experience the new lounge features and share their feedback.
