
Enterprise minister will seek to suspend work permit system this month
Employers on the Isle of Man see the work permit system as 'unnecessary bureaucracy' according to the enterprise minister.
Tim Johnston is set to ask Tynwald to approve a suspension of it later this month.
August's job market figures for the Island show 237 people are currently registered unemployed, but more than 700 job vacancies were registered with the Job Centre.
