Footpath to close while new sign is installed
Work to replace the Manx Electric Railway sign gets underway next week.
The Department of Infrastructure removed the sign last October as it was said to be in a poor state of repair.
It was initially hoped a replacement would be installed by spring, but Covid delays mean that deadline was pushed back to late summer.
The footpath in front of the sign will be closed from Imperial Terrace to the MER sheds on King Edward Road while the work takes place.
It's due to be completed by 5 November.
