A genius with a wicked sense of humour
The world has lost one of the most brilliant minds on the planet.
That's the belief of Howard Parkin from AstroManx, on the news today of the death of Professor Stephen Hawking.
The renowned British scientist passed away at his home in Cambridge early this morning at the age of 76
He was given just years to live in the 1960s, after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
Howard met him when he visited the Island just over five years ago and says as well as being a genius, he was a great character.
