Great granddaughter of Richard Wagner visits Island
The life and times of internees in the Second World War will be explored in a series of events this weekend, with emphasis on a very famous name.
The Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin is playing host first to a talk by Dr Chris Rieger, who spent his childhood interned in the south of the Island, from 11am (Sat).
Then at 7:30pm, another presentation by Professor Eva Rieger and Dagny Beilder will look back on the life of internee Friedelind Wagner - the granddaughter of legendary composer Richard Wagner.
