A Yorkshire couple who spent their honeymoon in the Isle of Man in 1959 have recreated the magic, 50 years on.
Frank and Christine Newbould, who come from Garforth near Leeds, got married on July 18, 1959 in the village of Methley in Yorkshire.
They flew to the Island from Yeadon Airport (now Leeds-Bradford Airport) and stayed at the Milnes Waverley Hotel in Douglas.
Manx2.com has flown the couple here for the same price they paid back then – seven pounds and 15 shillings – and they are planning to visit some of the sites they visited 50 years ago.
Christine told John Moss they still had their 1959 room card, tourism brochure, the photos every passenger had to have taken when they got off the plane, and even a ticket from when they went to see the film Gigi at the Regal Cinema:
