Andreas couple win DEFA prize
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has named an Andreas couple the Farmers of the Future.
Tim and Maria Johnston of Ballavarry Farm were presented with the award at the Royal Manx Agricultural Show on Friday.
The pair have more than 200 Holstein Friesian dairy cows and supply milk to the Isle of Man Creamery from their almost 400 acre farm.
David Collister, of Southampton Farm in Port Soderick won the Judges’ Special Award for a Young Farmer.
