NAMA marks contributions to Island culture
The winners of this year's North American Manx Awards will be revealed this afternoon (Friday, 9 July).
First presented in 1978 they recognise young people who've made outstanding contributions to Manx culture and Island life.
Winners in the following categories will receive a specially minted medal.
- Manx music
- Art and crafts that portray any aspect of Manx life or culture
- Manx language
- Outstanding contribution to Manx culture by a student under 18, over 18 and a group of under 25s
- Outstanding contribution to the community
- Overcoming disability to contribute to the community
