Samantha Barks has been nominated for best female newcomer by a major UK film magazine.
The 22-year-old star from Laxey is one of five candidates who could win the Empire magazine award.
The awards are decided by a public vote.
Sam shot to fame in BBC's reality TV show I’d Do Anything, before being picked to play the role of Eponine in the movie Les Miserables.
