Employment laws opened up to consultation
Many companies which ask to use zero hours contracts don't actually need them.
That's from the Manx Industrial Relations Service as rules around the contracts have been put out for consultation.
The Department for Enterprise wants the public's views as it looks at updated employment laws.
One proposal is a rule which means employers must offer a 'stable' contract to anyone employed for longer than six months.
