Richardson scores PB post lockdown
Round one of the Airgun Association’s winter league saw Greg Hogg top the scores in air rifle and Nathan Holden head up the air pistol.
In what was the first competition since lockdown there was a real mixed bag of performances with the majority of competitors feeling they had scored below average.
Blae Richardson however was one to buck the trend with an excellent personal best score of 534 out of 600 to take third place in the air pistol, behind Kathryn Holden who finished on 544, just one point off her dad’s score.
Greg had it more comfortable in the air rifle match, finishing on 587.2, well clear of second place by 27.2 points.
Newcomer Aryssa Fairbairn handled the nerves of her first competition like a pro, achieving a very promising score of 513.0, highlighting her quick progress in the sport.
