A member of the House of Keys says the Manx government should have put measures in place for a bank holiday on the Isle of Man's general election day, later this year.
The idea was suggested in an inquiry into the state of the Island's electoral register, set up after the 2006 election.
Jersey goes to the polls in October and officials there are pushing for an additional bank holiday on the big day.
