Seniors see off Divers to stretch winning run
Team AON moved a step closer to retaining their Division A Winter League title with a win over International Divers last night.
Liam Davies and Gary Corlett were involved in the first of three five-set encounters in the match - with the Divers man claiming the win on that occasion.
Jason Crease was next on court as he dispatched of Lyndon Cheetham, coming back from a game down to win 3-1.
Divers were the last team to beat Team AON - doing so early last December - but Richard Corlett and Kevin Watterson were both beaten in deciding games to Chris Cave and Mason McLarney respectively.
Recently-crowned Island Open champion Dave Norman saw off Robin Crease at first string, however, The Seniors had already done the damage and Norman's win was somewhat of a consolation.
AON's victory means they stretch their unbeaten run to eight matches and are within touching distance of successfully defending their place at the top of Manx team squash.
