Manx team took six medals at previous event in Guernsey

The Isle of Man will head to this year's Island Games with a five-strong team to take on the archery events.

Four of the competitors - Aalin George, Dave Moore, Ethan Moore and Rhys Moore - all represented the Island in the sport at the previous games in Guernsey in 2023.

They'll be joined by a new addition this time around in the form of Andrew Westmoreland.

The Manx squad will be hoping to build on the haul of six medals they claimed in Guernsey just under two years ago which included four silver and two bronze.

Three of those six were team medals which came in the Compound Head-to-Head; Mixed Compound Head-to-Head and Single WA 1440 Compound Team events.

Elsewhere, there were two individual medals for Rhys Moore in Guernsey as he secured silver in the Men's Compound Head-to-Head and bronze in the Single WA 1440 Men's Compound.

The other to earn individual honours was Aalin George with silver in Single WA 1440 Women's Compound.

The 2025 Island Games are scheduled to take place in Orkney from 12-18 July.

The archery events will begin on Monday, 14 July and run each day between 9am and 5pm through to Thursday, 17 July with Friday, 18 July designated as a reserve day.
