Six competitors will be part of inaugural three-day tournament
The Isle of Man is hoping to be a competitive force as it prepares to be part of an inaugural international tournament this weekend.
Six Manx players will take part in the first Small States of Europe Badminton Championships being held in Malta from Friday until Sunday (3-5 November).
Ben Li joins the team alongside Jess Li; Kim Clague; Mia Kirk; Matt Nicholson and Tobey Cheng who all competed at this year's Island Games in Guernsey in July.
The Isle of Man has been drawn into Group B for the event where they will play Cyprus, Greenland and Iceland.
One of the team members, Matt Nicholson, says there will be some unknowns with this being the first time they've been involved in this competition.
But he believes the squad has the ability to put in some good displays against strong opposition:
