Manxman maintains unbeaten streak in Liverpool
Manx boxer Mathew Rennie has maintained his unbeaten professional record following a comprehensive points win over Mykhailo Sovtus in Liverpool at the weekend.
'Magic' Rennie took victory over his Ukrainian opponent 60-54 at Grand Central Hall in Liverpool on Saturday (6 July).
It sees the Island-born fighter extend his undefeated tally in the pro ranks to 13 wins and one draw and this was Rennie's first win since linking up with new coach Terry Spencer.
It's also his second victory this calendar year following a points win over John Henry Mosquera - also on points - at the same venue back in February.
Speaking to VIP Boxing Promotions after this latest fight, Rennie says he was quite happy with his overall performance:
