Top player out for four weeks
Douglas Rugby Club's influential centre and trainer Carl Murray is facing a number of weeks out of action as his appeal against a red card against Waterloo goes forward.
His ban, after a tackle deemed dangerous in the North West One clash, was filmed by the Waterloo Club.
Douglas hope that will back up their claim that the referee was wrong to go for a red card, rather than a yellow. That would have resulted in a 10 minute trip to the sin bin.
The appeal may not be heard for a fortnight and, by that time, Murray will have already served three weeks from his current four week ban.
