Peel ended their Junior Cup hoodoo by lifting the Ascot Hotel Junior Cup on Saturday (May 11th).
Contesting their fourth successive final, the westerners defeated 2013 winners Corinthians courtesy of a solitary goal at the Bowl.
Dan Corkill struck in the opening minute to seal the silverware in a repeat of the final from two seasons ago.
It ensured the combination side finished the season on a high after being pipped to the Combination One title.
Corinthians played the final 20 minutes with 10 men following the dismissal of Stewart Smith.
It was a happy return to the Bowl for Peel who were 17 minutes from going out of the competition in the preliminary round when they trailed St Mary’s 5-2 before recovering to win 6-5.
