The tournament will run from this month until September
A new women's cricket tournament for the Isle of Man is set to launch later this month.
The Isle of Man Cricket Association (IOMCA) is introducing the Female Cricket Super Series - a short-format competition for female players aged 13 and over.
It'll start with the first match on the 21 April and run until the final game on 1 September, all of which will take place at King William's College.
The IOMCA says it will be primarily aimed at women and girls looking to make the transition from 'soft ball' to 'cricket ball' as well as play alongside and gain experience from international players and coaches.
The organisation adds teams will be balanced throughout the series 'to ensure competition is fair, even and enjoyable for all.'
Anyone interested in being involved in all or part of the series is asked to contact Greig Wright on cdo@iomcricket.co.uk before Thursday, 18 April.
Players will have to provide their own equipment for matches - those needing equipment are advised to speak to their club.
Dates for the series matches are listed below:
- Sunday, 21 April
- Sunday, 19 May
- Sunday, 16 June
- Sunday, 14 July
- Sunday, 4 August
- Sunday, 1 September
