Manx Missile made his return to the event last year after nine-year absence
Mark Cavendish will compete in this year's Giro D'Italia for Astana Qazaqstan.
The team has named the 'Manx Missile' in their eight-man squad to take on the historic tour event which gets underway this Saturday (6 May) until 28 May.
Last year saw Cavendish return to the Giro D'Italia for the first time in nine years with his former team, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl.
He would go on to take his first stage win there since 2013 as he took first place on stage three of the 2022 event, at the time making him the oldest non-Italian rider to win a stage there.
