Dan is an up and coming star!

At last weekend's North West 200 in Northern Ireland, 22-year-old Manx rider Daniel Kneen once again showed he is a star in the making in the road racing world.

In the first Superbike race, he finished in eleventh place on his K7 Marks Bloom/Slick performance 1000cc Suzuki, just behind Ian Hutchinson.

Dan, a plumber from Braddan, then went into the 600 Supersport race, clinching tenth position and beating established stars Ian Lougher, Adrian Archibald and Bruce Anstey.

The second Supersport race saw him in twelfth position, just failing to get past Ian Lougher, and he rounded off a great weekend by finishing 18th, just ahead of James Hillier, in a first time ride in the 1000 Superstock race, on his new West London Suzuki K10.

After the meeting Dan said: It was great to come here and be up towards the front with all the big teams.

'We are just a small privateer team, run on a shoestring compared to most of them. I thank all my sponsors for their help and hope we can attract some more financial help for the TT.'

Dan heads to Cadwell Park this weekend for the latest BSB round, hoping to extend his lead in the Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Cup.
