Douglas got away to a good start in Euromanx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three with a 25-8 win at Parkonians.
Douglas trailed 8-7 at the break with a Bryn Snellgrove try and conversion keeping them in the hunt.
They cut loose in the second half though and tries from Pete Moorhouse and Niall Bradley, plus another conversion, a drop goal and a penalty from the busy Snellgrove, saw them safely home.
A solid performance from Douglas who needed a good start to their promotion push and a solid debut from promising youngster Ryan Maddox bodes well for the rest of the season.
