If approved, FC IOM goes into step 6 of the North West Counties League
FC Isle of Man is one step closer to joining the English football league system for the 2020/2021 season.
The association has formally submitted its application to The North West Counties Football League, which, if approved, will see it join the system at step six next year.
The North West Counties Football League has announced they will now take FC Isle of Man’s application forward to The Football Association with a recommendation that FC Isle of Man is accepted providing the appropriate criteria is met by 31 March 2020.
Sporting Director for FC Isle of Man Paul Jones says 'we now look forward to being formally accepted into the English FA League System and moving onto the next, exciting stage of the project which is putting in place all that’s required in preparation for our first league game in August 2020'.
