Ravens face fellow league strugglers after big win last weekend

After picking up a vital win last weekend, FC Isle of Man face what could be an important early season clash away at AFC Liverpool in the NWCFL Premier Division tonight.

'The Ravens' and their Merseyside hosts both currently sit inside the league's bottom three.

FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones has played down significance of this latest encounter, saying it's 'just another game'.

He's also given an update on player, Adam Kerruish who suffered a double leg fracture during the Manx side's victory over Charnock Richard three days ago:

By picking up three points last time out, FC Isle of Man moved off of the foot of the NWCFL Premier Division and up into 22nd place, leapfrogging their opponents tonight in the process.

Should the Islanders follow up last weekend's success with another victory this evening, it could realistically see them climb up as many as four places, depending on results elsewhere.

Meanwhile, AFC Liverpool have also endured a tough start to the campaign, sitting second-from-bottom and with just four points from their opening nine league matches.

Phil Stafford's side are on a run of four straight defeats, however the Merseyside club is yet to lose against FC Isle of Man on home turf in any competition since the sides first met back in 2021.

AFC Liverpool vs FC Isle of Man is due to get underway this evening at the Berry Street Garage Stadium at 7.45pm.
