Both sides undefeated ahead of meeting at The Butchers Arms

Just three days after victory last weekend, FC Isle of Man head back on the road to face newly-promoted Droylsden in the NWCFL Premier Division this evening (18 August).

The Manx side will be hoping to build on an unbeaten start to the current campaign in what will be their first ever meeting with their hosts.

Meanwhile, FC Isle of Man's opponents themselves have enjoyed a positive start to 2026/27 with three wins and one draw from their four matches in all competitions so far.

Tonight's clash at The Butchers Arms is due to get underway at 7.45pm.

Last time out, FC Isle of Man fought back from two goals down at The Bowl to earn a 3-2 win over Ramsbottom United last Saturday (15 August).

That followed on from an opening day home success over FC St Helens on 1 August and a goalless draw away at Glossop North End three days after that.

Elsewhere, Dave Pace's Droylsden began the season with a 1-0 home win over AFC Liverpool with their other three matches seeing them face the same opposition in Burscough.

Both first met in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round with a 2-2 draw at The Community Ground on 8 August followed by Droylsden earning a 4-2 victory in the resulting replay on home turf three days later.

The two clubs then met in the league last Saturday (15 August), with Droylsden again emerging victorious via a 2-1 scoreline away from home.

One of the most notable changes from last weekend sees manager, Lee Dixon unable to attend tonight's contest with Gav Gawne and Rick Holden set to take on responsibilities in the dugout at The Butchers Arms

On the pitch, there's only two changes to the playing squad which earned the comeback victory against Ramsbottom United last Saturday.
