Higgins nets twice as northerners win repeat of 2024 showdown
Ramsey have successfully retained the Manx Quality Sheds Hospital Cup after a 3-0 victory over Laxey in the final of the 2025 competition this afternoon (17 May).
The northerners led in the 24th minute when Tom Chatel slotted home a rebound from a Dylan Pickles free-kick before Charlie Higgins doubled their lead four minutes before half-time.
Higgins then got his second and Ramsey's third with 71 minutes on the clock after being teed up by Matthew Jauncey.
Despite Ramsey going down to ten men with 15 minutes to go due to Pickles being dismissed for a second bookable offence, Laxey were unable to muster a late comeback at The Bowl in Douglas.
The result means Ramsey defended their crown in what was a repeat of the 2024 final in which they defeated Laxey 2-1.
