A further candidate has come forward in Rushen for next month's general election.
Dr John Orme has had previous experience as an MHK for the constituency, serving between 1985 and 1991.
The 62-year-old barrister says if elected he will only serve for one term, so he'll be free to take decisions which are in the long-term interest of the Island, without having an eye on his future political prospects.
Dr Orme believes, among other things, a reduction in the size of government and its expenditure must be the focus for a sustainable, independent future for the Island.
Dr Orme and Laurence Skelly are challenging sitting members Phil Gawne, Quintin Gill and Juan Watterson for the three Rushen seats.
The general election is on Thursday, September 29.
